Ram Gives Stellantis a North American Lift

Stellantis Pro One said North American commercial vehicle sales rose 13% year over year in the first half of 2026, with Ram pickups doing much of the work.

The commercial unit, which covers Ram plus Stellantis van and pickup brands globally, said its North American market share reached 14.1%, up 2.0 percentage points from a year earlier. In the United States, Ram total sales grew 15%, Ram 1500 sales increased 27%, and heavy-duty truck sales rose 9%. In Canada, Ram sales climbed 8% and heavy-duty sales rose 21%.

Global Commercial Vehicle Context

The North American gains were part of a broader first-half update. Stellantis Pro One reported 7% global growth, held a 28.7% commercial-vehicle share in Europe 29, and said South America reached a 33.9% share, more than double the nearest competitor.

The company also pointed to electrified commercial vehicles as a bigger piece of the European order book. Battery-electric vehicles represented 15% of total order intake in Europe in June across major markets, and order intake from small and midsize fleets increased 140% year over year.

What It Means for Fleets

For US fleet buyers, the Ram numbers matter less as a scoreboard and more as an availability signal. Stronger pickup and heavy-duty demand can shape allocation, incentives, order timing, and replacement planning for service fleets, utilities, contractors, municipalities, and other operators that depend on pickups for daily work.

Stellantis said its commercial strategy continues to span vans, pickups, electrified models, and its CustomFit upfit program. Fleet teams planning 2027 replacements should watch whether the stronger Ram demand translates into steadier ordering windows, broader upfit options, or tighter lead times in high-demand pickup and chassis configurations.
