Prime Builds $7.9M Used-Truck Flagship in Missouri
Prime-backed Pedigree Truck & Trailer Sales is building an 11,887-square-foot Springfield flagship as used commercial equipment remains a serious fleet channel.

A purpose-built home for Prime's used equipment channel
Pedigree Truck & Trailer Sales, the exclusive dealer for Prime Inc. used trucks and trailers, plans to open a $7.9 million flagship dealership in Springfield, Missouri. The new facility is expected to span 11,887 square feet and open in early October 2026.
The site at 2705 E. Diamond St. will replace Pedigree's current Springfield operation and become the first purpose-built home in the company's history. Outside, the property is planned with 107 truck and trailer display spaces, plus access to adjoining Prime property where incoming equipment is prepared for sale.
Why the remarketing channel matters
Prime says Pedigree has sold nearly 35,000 trucks and trailers and generated more than $1.7 billion in lifetime sales. Its inventory is built around one-owner, fleet-maintained equipment coming out of Prime's refrigerated, tanker, and flatbed operations.
That model is relevant well beyond Prime. New equipment remains expensive, and many small carriers and private fleets still use the late-model used market to control capital costs. A bigger, driver-oriented dealership is a bet that used equipment buyers will keep demanding a more organized, higher-touch purchase experience.
More locations are coming
Pedigree already operates locations in Springfield, Minooka, Pittston, and Salt Lake City. The company also has new full dealerships under construction in Atlanta and a replacement building in Pittston.
For fleet operators, the signal is simple: large carriers are not only cycling equipment out of their own fleets. They are also professionalizing the resale channel around those assets, especially where refrigerated trailers and late-model tractors can command stronger buyer interest.
