LRT Group Buys F2F Transport in Fleet Expansion Push
Fort Payne, Alabama-based LRT Group has acquired Chattanooga carrier F2F Transport. The companies say operations will continue without interruption while LRT looks to expand the platform.

F2F Joins a Transportation Holding Company
LRT Group has acquired F2F Transport, adding the Chattanooga, Tennessee-based carrier to a transportation holding company based in Fort Payne, Alabama. The companies announced the deal Monday, positioning it as part of LRT's broader plan to build transportation businesses across North America.
F2F's operations are expected to continue without interruption. Customers, owner-operators, and business partners should see the same service and support while the combined organization works on expanded offerings.
Owner-Operators Are Part of the Pitch
The deal gives F2F access to LRT's growing portfolio and is expected to open more dedicated freight opportunities for F2F's owner-operator network. LRT owner Devin Dean said F2F brings a strong team, customer relationships, and a respected transportation brand.
F2F President Brian Starnes framed the acquisition as a growth move for employees, customers, and owner-operators. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
Consolidation Keeps Moving
For fleets watching the carrier market, the story is another reminder that small and midsize transportation companies are still looking for scale after a long freight downturn. Deals that preserve operations while adding customer reach and equipment density are likely to stay attractive if rates keep recovering.
